playing green

christien’s meindertsma installation called “tree track” wants to make us think about ways how to reduce our ecological footprint and make an impact on the sustainable use of natural resources. at the same time it is just beautiful and immediately evokes childhood memories…

dutch designer christian meindertsma uses his project to communicate the number of opportunities for producing natural resources in a sustainable way - by employing more renewable resources (such as wood), we save non-renewable resources (such as oil which is used for making synthetics) and by this we reduce our ecological footprint.
made entirely out of breech tree from the flevopolder in the netherlands, tree track was made for InnovationNetwork and will be exhibited at the radio kootwijk this summer.
